Hello everyone!
I'm looking for a bit of advise. I'm a rapier fighter and a week ago I dislocated my right knee while going into a lunge (second time this knee has dislocated, first time while fencing). It's been healing fine, but I sat in on practice today and was literally flinching just watching people go into lunges as I could clearly remember how the dislocation felt. I know that it's going to take me a while to get back into lunging, let alone fighting full out as I'm afraid of hurting my knee again. Anyone have any advice on how to overcome this? Any experience getting over the psychological side of these injuries?
